After a decade of “big law” experience in the business department of the reputable firm of Meshbesher and Spence, and demonstrating the same entrepreneurial drive exhibited by his clients, Jeffrey Olson founded this law firm seeking to combine the quality of large firm representation with the flexibility, focus, and cost effectiveness of a firm that is quick to respond and adapt.

We are an alternative to the traditional big law firm. During his 25+ years of practicing law, Jeff has learned that not every case requires a small army of new, junior, senior, and supervising lawyers to accomplish the same task. In fact, many cases are more effectively and efficiently handled by a single experienced lawyer overseeing every aspect of the work. We also recognize that our clients expect and deserve not only quality legal work, but discriminating business judgment. We can quickly work with you to size up the essentials of a case or transaction and tailor the process to minimize the burden on your ongoing business. When appropriate, we can disregard how “these types” of matters are traditionally handled, in favor of making decisions at every step about whether the proposed work will really advance your interests. After all, our success is measured by that of our clients.

The key to your success is our preparation and clear communication with you. Our experience and thorough preparation, combined with industry knowledge, is the foundation for attaining a successful outcome for you. We work directly with you to assure a clear understanding of your goals and needs and we work efficiently by maximizing the use of client knowledge, input, and resources to obtain our desired results.

Choosing the right lawyer does make a difference. Some clients pay a premium for a “big name” law firm based upon that name alone. The reputation of many of today’s top firms, however, were built by yesterday’s partners. The experience and know-how of the lawyer handling your matter today, though, is what counts. For example, fewer and fewer lawyers these days have handled a lawsuit from filing – through jury verdict – and appeal. We have handled hundreds of matters, including discovery, pre-trial motions, arbitrations, mediations, trials and appeals. We have negotiated and shepherded many transactions for clients, big and small. We have served as counsel in cases across the nation, resolving individual and class action claims. We have opposed – and prevailed against – large law firms with “top reputations” and we relish the role of being under-estimated as the “underdog”. In the court room or the board room, it is one on one and we are never intimidated.

Focus on results. We understand that the legal profession is a service business, and that entrepreneurial clients need creative and pragmatic solutions to their legal problems. Our success in litigation and transactional work generates repeat business and referrals. Our success is not tied to billable hours, but in the actual results achieved for our clients. Our focus is on results rather than numbers.

Relationship. Our hands-on approach to every case provides the quality legal representation clients expect and deserve. We are readily available to meet your immediate needs and will thoroughly explain the legal process, reviewing all legal options and anticipated outcomes. Our client’s are encouraged to call at any time with their questions. A bond often develops with our clients, often continuing for years after the initial case or transaction has been completed.

Perspective. As a boutique firm, we also bring both plaintiff and defense perspectives. The benefit of hiring an attorney who handles both plaintiff and defense cases is that such law firms and their lawyers gain invaluable experience and perspective from both sides of the table and can then put this experience to considerable benefit when acting as your counsel.

Bottom line. If you do not feel that you are your current attorney’s most important client, maybe it is time for a change. It is of utmost importance that you are comfortable with your attorney and that your relationship is mutually beneficial. Do you receive the attention that you deserve? Are you getting the answers and advice that you need? When is the last time that your attorney stopped by to see how things were going? Maybe its time to call us. Bottom line, we provide aggressive, strategic advocacy and the depth of experience you expect to find at a large law firm, but with the personal attention, efficiency and affordability that you can only find at a specialty boutique firm.
